I’ve found that on the hot sunny days with little wind that it often picks up around 3:00 to 4:00 because of the warming of the land. That happened this Saturday right on schedule. This can be pretty frustrating when you want to go sailing in the nice weather but no wind.
It also can drop off quickly when the sun starts to go down, so bring a paddle just in case.
The dockmaster will be at the dock for the 1st hour of their scheduled time on the weekends. If nobody show after the 1st hour they may leave. If you will not make it to the dock within the first hour please make arrangements with the dockmaster or you might miss him.
The clinics will begin at 5:30 sharp. If you can come earlier to help set up boats, great.
At the clinics we will discuss: our racing series calendar (to include Committee Boat duty), the Racing Rules of Sailing and basic racing strategy/techniques.
Following the discussion at the dock we will sail Capris. There will be a series of sailing drills and practice starts to get us back in the swing of small boat sailing after a long winter.
If you plan on attending the clinics or participating in the Racing Series, please drop Ross an email.
